We finally drove to Monterey to live out our Big Little Lies dreams. Our stay at Monterey Plaza Hotel and Spa was an absolute dream! I could get used to waking up and having coffee and looking at the shimmering blue sea every morning. Dinners at Coastal Kitchen with their tasting menu and sipping our wine soaking in the stunning ocean views were an absolute highlight of the trip.

Mornings were slow and serene, with the sound of waves lapping against the shore as we sipped our coffee on the balcony. We took long walks along Cannery Row, breathing in the crisp ocean air and stopping to admire the playful otters floating effortlessly.

Exploring the town felt like stepping into a novel—charming boutiques, local art galleries, and, of course, a visit to the iconic Monterey Bay Aquarium. Every moment felt cinematic, like we had wandered onto the set of Big Little Lies.

As the sun set, we cozied up by the outdoor fire pits, listening to the distant call of seagulls and the rhythmic crash of the waves. Monterey Plaza Hotel and Spa wasn’t just a place to stay; it was an experience—one that we’d return to in a heartbeat.
